About
I'm Shubham, a software engineer at Amazon in Spain. I started out studying signals and ended up building systems that run at the scale of AWS and amazon.com.
The story so far
I studied Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad from 2016 to 2020. Outside class I was the start-up coordinator at the incubation cell, and a member of the Robotics and Literary clubs.
Signals came first. During a 2019 internship at Samsung I built 5G demonstration software on ARMv8 and the ThreadX real-time OS, and forecast hourly 4G LTE traffic with seasonal ARIMA models so cell towers could scale up or down in advance.
In 2020 I interned at Postman on the version control squad, working on how collaborators track changes to shared work and go back to earlier versions. In early 2021 I joined Samsung Research full time, on 5G and modem work in the Mobile Communication R&D team.
In May 2021 I moved to AWS in Bengaluru, and stayed for nearly five years. On Amazon Textract I designed the core processing service behind the asynchronous APIs, handling more than 100 million documents a month across 15 regions. Later, as an SDE II, I helped design and ship blueprint instruction optimization for Amazon Bedrock Data Automation.
In January 2026 I moved to Spain to join Amazon's UPMT organization, where I use generative AI to create product images at scale for amazon.com.
